At around 2:15pm today the Terryville Fire Department and EMS were called to a construction site on Route 112 just north of Bicycle Path after a worker fell 14 feet into the basement of a building under construction and was seriously injured.
The victim was in and out of consciousness and needed to be secured and removed from the hole. The chief requested a response from the Brookhaven Technical Rescue Task Force which responded with units from Selden FD and Setauket FD. Suffolk Police Emergency Services units were also called to the scene.
