Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that injured a Mastic woman.
A 66-year-old woman exited a 2021 Nissan Sentra in the driveway of her Burney Boulevard residence at approximately 5:40 p.m. on January 9 when she was approached by two men, one of whom struck her in the head with a metal object. The men stole the car keys and fled in the vehicle. The woman was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The two men who approached the woman were described as White and in their 20s or 30s. A third man was also involved in the robbery and was driving a red Infiniti sedan with a yellow license plate. The stolen vehicle, which is a rental car, is a gray 2021 Nissan Sentra with New Jersey license plate B38 NCZ.
