This afternoon a long line of cars snarled traffic along Wyandanch Ave and Straight Path as NY State Troopers and Suffolk County Police teamed up with the Bread of Life Fellowship to bring some holiday cheer to the less fortunate this Christmas.
Tables loaded with toys, turkeys, hams and Island Harvest food packages were handed out today by officers. All of the recipients were very thankful to the officers and staff helping out people overly affected by the economic stress of the pandemic.
Suffolk Police Chief Cameron says this is not the first time they have teamed up with State Police to help out during the holidays and it won’t be the last.
