Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found in a vehicle in Riverhead last night.
Riverhead Police Department officers responded to a 911 call of an abandoned vehicle on the side of Roanoke Avenue, south of Green Tree Drive, at approximately 7:40 p.m. Officers discovered the body of Marco Grisales, 39, of Sag Habor, in the vehicle.
Homicide Squad detectives responded to the scene and determined that Grisales suffered head injuries. Detectives spent more than 6 hours investigating the scene and removed the truck to the old armory building on Route 58 to continue the investigation.
