Just before 9:00pm the Selden Fire Department received multiple calls for a house on fire on South Bicycle Path in Selden.
Upon arrival units were met with fire coming from a front room of the house and out the windows. All of the occupants of the single story L-style ranch home were able to escape without injury.
Multiple surrounding departments were called in to assist in the operation. The fire was brought under control in less than 1 hour.
The Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal and Suffolk Arson Squad were notified to determine the cause of the fire. There were no fire personnel injuries reported.
