Selden, NY – At approximately 4:30 AM, Selden Fire Department was called to 6 Parkwood Lane in Selden for a reported structure fire from a possible lightning strike. Upon arrival crews had a 2 story home well involved and began fire suppression operations. The homeowner was able to escape the home uninjured, and two cats were rescued from the home by firefighters. Mutual aid departments included Terryville, Holtsville, Setauket and Coram. Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshals are on scene investigating the incident.
