Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a stabbing that injured a man this morning.
The incident occurred in the rear of a shopping center located at 1067 Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station this morning at approximately 11:30 a.m.
The victim, a 50-year-old man who is homeless and lives in the rear of the location, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police searched that area with a K9 dog and helicopter but no arrests have been made at this time.
