Tuesday night Suffolk Police and EMS were called to a home on Bartlett Commons after a reported shooting incident.
Upon arrival a 23 year old woman was located with a single gun shot wound to the back. She was rushed to a local hospital with injuries that were described by police as non life threatening.
Police were searching for a male, reported to be a former boyfriend of the victim, who fled the scene in a white vehicle. No reported arrests as of yet, but a source says one is imminent.
Suffolk Police 7th squad detectives and crime scene officers were called to the scene to conduct an investigation.
