Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Bay Shore last night.
A male was standing in the middle of Brentwood Road, between Tillie Street and Redington Street, when he was struck by a southbound 1999 Jeep at approximately 7 p.m. The collision knocked the victim into the northbound lane where he was struck by 2006 Hyundai.
The pedestrian, 30, of Bay Shore, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore was he was pronounced dead. Both drivers involved were not injured. Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
