Medford, NY – Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in Medford Saturday night.

A man was riding a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle southbound on Route 112, near Commercial Boulevard, when the driver lost control of the motorcycle and struck several road signs and a pole before coming to a stop at 11:42 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.
