Suffolk County Police today arrested a man for stabbing another man at a residence in Bay Shore this afternoon.
During a dispute between the landlord and his tenants’ boyfriend, Anthony Cook, Cook stabbed the man with a kitchen knife inside the living room, located at 1108 Udall Road, at approximately 1:10 p.m. Police responded and transported the 70-year-old victim to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with non-life-threatening injuries.
Cook initially hid from police but was found a short time later hiding in a closet. Cook, 35, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for evaluation.
Third Squad detectives charged Cook with Assault 2nd Degree. He will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court on August 11.
