Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating an incident during which a Wyandanch man was injured in a shooting last night.
A 26-year-old man was sitting in a parked vehicle on Winter Avenue, near Nicolls Road in Wyandanch, when he was struck by a bullet fired from outside the vehicle at approximately 10:30 p.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
