Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad and Arson Section detectives are investigating a house fire that killed a Holtsville man early this morning.
Fifth Precinct officers responded to 9 Pine St. at approximately 4:55 a.m. after a 911 caller reported a fire at the location. The home’s lone resident, Connor Frawley, 32, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal in nature.
Firefighters were able to remove a dog and treated it with oxygen and it seemed to be responding well. No update on the pet’s status at this time.
