Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was found on Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore early this morning.
Highway Patrol officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man lying in the right lane of eastbound Sunrise Highway, near Exit 43, at approximately 1 a.m.
The adult male was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
