Mastic Beach Fire Department along with EMS were called to the marina on Riviera Dr. after a reported boat fire.
A man was on board the boat when the fire started and was suffering from serious burns. He was rushed to a Suffolk Police helicopter and flown to Stony Brook University Medical Center for treatment.
The Suffolk Police Arson Squad was on scene investigating the cause of the fire. There were no other injuries.
