Suffolk County Police have arrested a North Babylon man for threatening to shoot people at the local unemployment office.
An employee at the New York State Department of Labor received a phone call before 12 p.m. on Friday from a man who threatened to shoot everyone inside a local unemployment office. The employee reported the incident to the First Precinct, and a recording of the phone call was provided, wherein the man identified himself.
Following an investigation by First Squad detectives, Jahman Nichols was arrested at his house in North Babylon at approximately 5 p.m.
Nichols, 30, was charged with Making a Terroristic Threat and an active First District Court warrant.
He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 10.
