Nassau Police Fourth Squad, Detectives report the arrest of a Far Rockaway man for a Robbery that occurred on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 6:32 PM in Inwood.
According to Detectives a male victim, 31, called 911 to report a disturbance with a weapon on Doughty Blvd. The victim informed Police he had a verbal dispute with his roommate over money. The argument escalated and the male subject, 59, displayed a utility razor and demanded cash. The victim refused to comply and the subject swung the razor resulting in a laceration on the victims left hand. The victim was punched in the face multiple times and was abld to flee and notified Police.
Angel Ocevedo, 59, of Far Rockaway was arrested without incident.
Nassau County Police Ambulance responded to evaluate the victim who refused medical attention.
Defendant Ocevedo is charged with Robbery 1st Degree (Attempt), Robbery 2nd Degree (Attempt), Assault 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Mineola.
