At around 8:30pm Saturday night the Lakeland Fire Department was called to 4236 Express Dr. North in Ronkonkoma after getting numerous calls for flames coming from the house.
Upon arrival units were met with heavy fire from the 2 story home. Multiple area departments were called in to assist in the blaze. There was a partial collapse of the home which forced firefighters to exit the structure for safety. The fire was brought under control in about an hour.
Investigators were called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
