Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a fight that killed a man in Coram Sunday.

Police responded to a 911 call of an altercation between two men outside of a residence, located at 134 West Yaphank Road, at approximately 11:10 a.m. and found a resident of the house, Kenneth Mitchell with serious injuries. He was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.

Several hours later, the other man involved in the altercation, Albert Coppedge, returned to the scene. He was not injured in the fight.

Coppedge, 46, also a resident of 134 West Yaphank Road, was charged with Murder 2nd Degree. He was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip this morning.
