Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian, and seriously injured another, in Holtsville this afternoon.
2 men were working on a 1989 F-150 pickup truck parked outside of a residence on Express Drive South, when they were struck by a vehicle at 5:29 p.m. The vehicle fled eastbound on Express Drive South.
One victim, 37, was transported via ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other, 46, was also taken to Stony Brook University Hospital and is being treated for serious physical injuries.
