Suffolk County Police and members of the Central Islip Fire Department rescued a man from a storm drain this afternoon.
Third Precinct police officers responded to a 911 call regarding a man who fell approximately 10 feet down a storm drain, outside an apartment complex, located at 201 Medea Way in Central Islip, at approximately 1:15 p.m. Officers from the Emergency Service Section as well as members of the Central Islip and Hauppauge Fire Departments responded and pulled the man, 90, a resident of the complex, out of the storm drain.
He was transported to Southside Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
