Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a Copiague man.
Suffolk Police 1st precinct units and the North Amityville Fire Department responded to the residence located on 41 St., in Copiague last night at approximately 8:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a 79-year-old male resident deceased. A 49-year-old female resident was transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition. Firefighters secured the structure and ventilated the home.
Homicide Detectives and Town of Babylon Fire Marshals are investigating the CO levels within the residence. The nature of the incident appears to be non-criminal.
