At around 12:30am Suffolk Police and Mastic Beach FD and EMS were called to Floyd Rd. South after a report of a vehicle into a house with the driver trapped.
Upon arrival units found a driver in the vehicle which was upside down, leaning against the home. It appears the vehicle was headed south on Chanel Dr. E. when it failed to stop at the end of the roadway. The vehicle struck a brick column, overturned and launched striking the roof of the house and coming to rest at the front door.
The driver, a 19 year old male, was extricated and taken to Long Island Community Hospital for treatment. Nobody inside the house was injured.
The Town of Brookhaven building inspector was called to the scene to check on the structure.
