At around 9pm Suffolk Police, Bay Shore Brightwaters EMS and Bay Shore FD were called to W. Montauk Highway near Bradish Lane after a van headed east on Montauk left the roadway and hit a brick wall. The van then struck a tree which caused it to overturn trapping a male and female inside.
Bay Shore FD worked for about 15 minutes to cut the victims out and BSBRA transported them to a local hospital with, what appears to be, non life threatening injuries.
The roadway was closed in both directions during the operation and clean up. No word on what caused the crash.
