At around 4:30pm Tuesday firefighters were called to a house on Eastlake Avenue in Massapequa Park after getting multiple calls for a fire with people trapped.

Upon arrival units were met with a well involved single family home with 2 victims already outside the house and a third still missing in the basement. Firefighters worked to enter the home and were able to pull out the 3rd victim. All were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.

During the operation a firefighter was injured and transported for evaluation. The fire was brought under control in about an hour.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal’s office was called to the scene for an investigation.
