Just before 2am Port Jefferson Village Constables heard multiple shots fired in a crowded parking lot to the rear of Tommy’s Place, a popular restaurant in the heart of the quaint Village of Port Jefferson.
Upon further inspection 2 victims of a shooting were located. The first victim was shot multiple times and required a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. That victim was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital via police car for treatment.
The 2nd victim was shot in the abdomen and rushed to the same hospital by ambulance. The victims, 20 and 22 years old, are listed in serious condition.
Police blocked off a large area of the Village’s parking lot as part of the crime scene and searched for evidence. An SUV was seen fleeing the area just after the shooting.
